The School transport facility is extended by the transport service provider, the school only supervises & support for smooth & hassle free service. The transporter offers no guarantee that a seat in the School Bus will be available when the vehicles are full of capacity or are not ply in the area of the residence, it will be the responsibility of the parents or local/legal guardians to drop/collect the child from the specified vehicle stop.
At present the School buses provided by the transporter to support the school transport system are all EURO complained. Buses used for transporting students who have opted for bus facility, covers the area of Kolkata, Howrah & 24 parganas. All vehicles are equipped with CCTV cameras & connected electronically to the control room though GPS tracking system installed in the buses. The vehicles are also equipped with fist aid boxes & fire extinguisher. A lady attendant accompanies the junior most students in the vehicle for their proper care. The parents get an SMS alert approximately 10 minutes prior to arrival of school bus while dropping the student. An App for the parents is being developed and shall be operational soon, which will provide all information related to school bus of their ward.
Academic Session 2023 – 2024
This gives an idea of various important bus points and same can change without any further explanations. Even, the bus routes may differ for Junior School and High School and the exact bus pickup & drop point shall be determined and informed only after the beginning of the Academic Session 2022-2023. One time administrative Charges of Rs. 500/- shall have to be paid in addition to bus charges at the beginning of each academic year. Fees will be charged for all 12 months. A parent who withdraws the transport facility before the vacations and rejoins after the vacations, may not be given the transport facility. The amount is payable along with the school fees on a quarterly basis.
Bus Track
Parents can now be comfortable about their children taking the school buses. Complete information and security of the child will be taken cared of.

- Check the location of your kid’s bus during pickup and drop timing : You can use the My School Bus app to see the location of your kid’s school bus during pickup and drop timing from anywhere to plan for your other tasks accordingly.

- Alert when your kid swipes his smart ID card at RFID reader machine in bus : You will be notified through the My School Bus app or regular SMS with time and location of swipe when your kid swipes card at bus. Kindly instruct your child to regularly swipe his smart ID card at bus reader machine

STEP 3 : You will receive One Time Password (OTP) as SMS at the number you provided. Type that OTP in the password field. Tap the Submit button.
STEP 4 : If you get add student screen, please check/correct the primary number with school. You can tap on any of the route and see the current location, distance and estimated time of arrival of the vehicle in that route (Only during the pick-up and drop durations).

Bus Rules
- Bus fee is charged for 12 months in a year. (Applicable for Class 11 and 12)
- The Bus fee will be payable yearly for Classes-XI & XII by DD / P.O. favoring “Delhi Public School Ruby Park Kolkata” (Applicable for Class 11 and 12)
- No withdrawal of transport fee will be considered during the Academic Session, Except Transfer Cases. (Applicable for Class 11 and 12)
- Parents are requested not to enter school buses to see off and receive their wards.
- Parents should not try to overtake and stop the school bus to facilitate the boarding of their wards as this endangers the safety of the bus and its occupants. This act would lead to strict disciplinary action.
- Parents should not argue with the teachers present in the bus or the conductor/ driver. If there is any problem, a written complaint to the Administrative office should be given.
- Under no circumstances are students allowed to go behind or under the parked buses within the school campus. Students are also not allowed to sit in the parked buses during school hours.
- Under no circumstances, should students touch the instrument panel of the buses.
- A student using the school bus is expected to be at the bus stop at least ten minutes before the scheduled arriving bus. The student has to be on the correct side of the arriving bus. The scheduled pickup time is available with the transport-in-charge at the school. The school reserves the right to alter the timings, routes and stoppages as and when necessary.
- Students are issued a Bus Badge with Bus Route No. The badge should be worn by the student before boarding the bus and should wear the same at all times till the completion of the return journey.
- If any parent whose child is availing school transport service wishes to take their ward privately in his/her own transport, he/she has to collect the Permission Slip from the school authorities ‘half an hour’ before the end of the last class.
- Students are allowed to use only the allotted bus and bus stop. No change can be allowed without prior written permission of the school.
- Is a student misses his allotted bus he should not try to board any other bus. It is the responsibility of the parents to drop off their wards to the school. However the student will return by the allotted bus.
- The school will not be held responsible for any lapse in the bus services. In case of any discrepancy, parents may meet the Transport-In-Charge.
- The buses will not wait for latecomers.
- Students should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.
- No student should come near the entry door of the bus until it comes to a complete halt. The front door of the bus is the only authorised entrance and exit.
- Boarding and alighting from buses should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
- All students must occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding their respective buses. Reservation of seats for co – commuters are not allowed under any circumstances.
- No student should travel standing on the footboard.
- Students must make not move around in the bus when it is in motion.
- The students must make sure that the aisle of the bus is clear, school bags and other belongings are placed properly.
- Students must not put any part of their body outside the bus. They should not put their hands out even for waving.
- No object should be discarded inside or thrown outside the bus.
- Consumption of edibles is not permitted in the buses.
- Unruly behaviour ‘like shrieking, shouting and playing foul is strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected at all times.
- The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
- The driver’s are authorised to stop buses at the designated stops only. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters and is always subject to change.
- The buses monitor on duty is responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the co-ordinator immediately.
- In case of any change, of temporary or permanent nature, in transport pick-up/ drop point or transport route, the permission for the same has to be sought by making an application to the Transport department at the school office. In case of permanent change of transport route. The application must be filed along with administrative charge of Rs: 50/- (Rupee Fifty Only) at the School Office.
- Parents have to ensure that their wards do not go to and fro from bus stops unescorted.
- Parents (or whoever is authorised by the parents) have to produce the Escort Card at the bus stop to receive their wards from the respective bus drop points falling which t6he student will be brought back to the school and will be handed over only on production of escort card.
- The Monthly Transport service charges for the scheduled route/routes will be as per notification. Fees will be charged for all 12 months. A parent, who withdraws the transport facility before the vacations and rejoins after the vacations, may not be given the transport services facility. The amount is payable along with the school fees on a quarterly basis.
